Artist's Description
Durness is Scotland�s most North Westerly Village and is the place where founder member of the Beatles, John Lennon, spent his holidays from the age of nine to sixteen; a place he also revisited as an adult in 1969 with his son Julian. It is said that the Sutherland landscape inspired John Lennon to write the Beatles song �In My Life�.
About Maria Gaellman
I was born in Sweden in 1969 and lived there until 2006 when I followed one of my dreams by moving to Scotland. I had fallen in love with the Scottish various landscapes and history a long time ago and was very fortunate to have the opportunity to fulfil my dream. I am reliant to take my camera everywhere; as you can be sure there is always something worthy of a photograph, what I get in return is the chance to make an honest photograph which people immediately know is a genuine moment and which, I hope, they enjoy and appreciate as much as I do.
